The annual Tough Man Tournament took place this past Sunday. This event features the hardest course set up of the year, including different tee boxes, tough hole locations, and fast greens. This year’s tournament featured 18 players., 8 of which competed in the Gross Division from the Black tee boxes, and 10 who competed in the Net Division across all tees.
In the Gross Division, players struggled through the tough conditions, some shots were hit out of deep rough and fescue grass, as well as some even being played knee deep in water, in a creek bed. Although, after the completion of the round, Mike McCool was able to grind out a tough 82 for the victory, just beating out Hank Rainero by two strokes.
The Net division faced many of the same challenges and was very competitive. Steve Harville was able to take home the crown with a net score of 66, beating second place finisher Pat Oakley by 4.
Thank you to all who played and congratulations to Mike McCool and Steve Harville on their respective wins.
